It’s a joyous day for Malaysia’s kawaii fashion scene as YumeMonde’s finally officiating their online store and opening its website and online store to customers worldwide.
Their first-ever collection, ‘I Will Cry’ 2024 Collection will be a small collection consisting of cutely designed oversized crop sweaters with matching leg warmers and loveable sheer turtlenecks.
The Thought Process
Our designer, who is also the founder of YumeMonde, had a year to think of the perfect inspiration for its first collection to introduce YumeMonde to the world.
I think Anxiousness is very on brand with YumeMonde’s vision which is to be true to yourself. I wanted our first collection to be something that expresses what I’m feeling when starting Yumemonde.
Rusa
Starting a niche fashion brand especially in Malaysia where only a small percentage accepts dressing up out of the norm does sound quite anxiety-inducing. Rusa, who is also a fashion graduate, knows barely anything when she started YumeMonde but she took a leap of faith towards her dream and now, her very first collection will be open for kawaii fashion lovers worldwide.
